The positioning method comprises the following steps that 1, operation is conducted on the cervix uteri LCT image with the adoption of the Gaussian difference operator, gray level enhancement is conducted, and an edge image only containing edge information is obtained; 2, the weight for infusion between the cervix uteri LCT image and the edge image is determined; 3, the LCT image multiplied by the weight obtained in the step 2, and then is added to the edge image, and an edge fading image is obtained; 4, the edge fading image is processed in a visual attention method, and a salient region of the image is obtained, wherein the salient region is a region of the abnormal cell nucleus. According to the abnormal cell nucleus positioning method for the cervix uteri LCT image, due to the fact that the original image is added to the edge image with the certain weight, and the salient degree of the abnormal cell nucleus in the cervix uteri LCT image is effectively improved, and positioning of the region of the abnormal cell nucleus in the cervix uteri LCT image can be fast and accurately achieved by a visual attention model.
