Application research of temperature and pressure compensation in steam flow measurement in LT-MED plant

In order to solve the problem of inaccuracy of steam flow measurement caused by steam temperature and pressure fluctuation during the process of desalination.Based on 30 m3/d MED pilot plant,this paper analyses the characteristic of temperature and pressure fluctuation of feed steam,shows the research on compensation formula and mathematical model applicable in MED process,and how to realize the compensation through PLC control.The results indicate that the accuracy of steam flow measurement gets improved by temperature and pressure compensation,which enhances the stability and economics of the operation of MED desalination system.
