An improved two-transformer conductivity probe

Abstract The paper analyzes the mathematical model of the windings of a two-transformer conductivity probe. Using this model, it is possible to calculate the spurious magnetic flux (neglected in the literature) causing a systematic error of probe. A new way of a hardware compensation of this flux has been proposed. The method of calculation and formulae may be utilized in designing better probes for measuring liquid conductivity. In this way it is possible at the same time to eliminate some other systematic errors.
