Horizontal fit of flasks as a factor in complete denture disarticulation.

Abstract Ten new flasks were tested for evidence of lack of fit between the two halves. Forty technical upper dentures of similar size and shape were invested, packed, and polymerized. A horizontal lack of fit was observed in three points of flasks A and in the four points of flasks B. This lack of fit would be a source of undesirable disarticulation in complete dentures.
