Quality Function Deployment, a Technique of Design for Quality

Most Design for Manufacture (DFM) techniques do not involve the consideration of customer requirements, and hence are not sufficient enough to make a company stay competitive. Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method drives the product design and process planning by customer requirements. It is a technique of Design for Quality (DFQ).
