Multipath channel identification based on partial system information

Due to the wide spread application of digital broadcast and mobile communication systems, blind channel identification has become a popular research subject. By relying on known information such as the pulse shaping filter and the anti-aliasing filter responses, the performance of channel identification and equalization can be significantly enhanced for digital communication systems. We present simple methods designed for time-domain and frequency domain implementations. Our simulation results demonstrate the performance of these approaches.
