Study on Monte Carlo Simulation Method for Reliability Analysis of Generalized Power Network

Reliability analysis plays a significant role in power systems. Taking into account the integration of components with impedance, such as transmission lines, transformers, and components without impedance such as circuit breakers, isolating switches, Monte Carlo simulation method for reliability analysis of generalized power network is proposed. First, through analyzing the station topology, equivalent nodes and connectivity between these nodes and components with impedance are obtained. And then, through further analysis of network topology, computing model of equivalent grid is obtained so that the reliability measure indexes of system can be assessed. Test on RBTS-Bus6 system shows that the proposed method is more practical.
