State ROM을 이용하는 Viterbi Decoder의 설계

The Viterbi algorithm is a powerful method for error correction coding. In this paper, we designed a Viterbi decoder using state ROM. The designed decoder has code rate of 1/2, constraint length of 7 and TBD(Trace Back Depth) of 35. In this design, BMU(Branch Metric Unit) uses ROM rather than combinational logic. TBU(Trace Back Unit) refers to states and outputs stored in the state ROM with survivor path chosen in ACSU(Add Compare Select Unit).
