Automatic answering method for a vehicle radio-telephone and device therefor

The automatic answering machine stores a caller's voice message and phone number in a memory IC. A duplexer (201) permits common use of the amtenna for both transmitting and receiving and is connected to a radio transmitter (207) and a radio receiver (202). A voice analysing and synthesising circuit (221) analyses and synthesises the received voice signals by adaptive delta modulation (ADM) method. A voice synthesizing circuit (223) containing the answering voice message produces it in the voice signal by LPC synthesising produre. A controller (206) controls the circuits (221,223) to synthesise a given answering message according to an set mode by receiving the signal digitalised by the decoding of a WBD modem (222).
