The s t r a i n induced i s , i n general, associated w i t h an overshoot and r i n g i n g . When the r i s e t ime f o r t he vo l tage i s a p p r o p r i a t e l y ad justed ( i .e. e q u a l l y t o t h e resonance per iod) , t h i s r i n g i n g i s r a d i c a l l y reduced. To suppor t t he analys is , t h e experiment has been made by us ing a bimorph-type actuator .
