Transient voltage regulation performance simulation of a twelve-phase synchronous generator-rectifier system

This paper describes a twelve-phase synchronous generator-rectifier system and its excitation control system, establishes a state-space model of the twelve-phase synchronous generator and sets up a detailed circuit simulation model of the power generation system in Matlab/Simulink environment. The simulation results of the detailed circuit model and finite element model in rated load steady-state conditions are compared. As a result the detailed circuit simulation model is proved to be effective. Finally, the simulation results of the power generation system have confirmed that satisfactory transient voltage regulation performance can be achieved by the excitation control system, which can meet the requirements of high-capacity independent DC power system.
