An optimal model of rubber ball cleaning system for condenser is proposed in this paper. Based on on-line measurement of fouling resistance, the fouling growth time (set as cleaning time interval in this paper) is fixed and the best running time of rubber ball cleaning system is calculated with the least total cost in a cleaning period. The mathematical model is verified in experiment and the implement steps are given in detail also. With the application of the model, the rubber ball cleaning system can be full automatic operated by automatic adjustment of the system running time, lead to the development of economically efficient and technically reliable system.
