P-V CURVE BASED STATIC ANALYSIS FOR INTEGRATION OF WIND FARM INTO POWER SYSTEM

A P-V curve based static analysis method for integration of wind farm into power system and a P-V curve based analysis method for the integration of two wind farms simultaneously into the same local power network are presented. In this method the information, such as voltage deviation, range of voltage fluctuation and so on, is provided. The voltage requirement for integrating a wind farm into the local power network and the influence of wind farm operation on the local power network loss are analyzed. The simulation results show that the lowest voltage for integrating a wind farm into the local power network should be higher than that of the power system in maintenance and the integration of wind farm is advantageous to reduce the loss of power network.
