A relevant casual relation based timestamp order consistency control method in DVE systems

In DVE systems, maintaining the consistency of event execution time is the core element to provide a unified view for all nodes in the system. However, owing to the fluctuation of message transmission delay within the network, some events cannot be executed at the expected time set by the sending node., It will seriously impact the interactive experience of the user in the virtual environment, especially when there is a disorder between the events with causal relationship. In this paper, we propose a new timestamp consistency control method based on relevant causal relations between events. By introducing a relevant cause-effect event detection mechanism in the traditional timestamp consistency control method, it is ensured that events with causality can be processed in the correct order. The experimental results show that the proposed method can greatly reduce the probability of occurrence of causal violation, and improve the usability of the virtual environment system.
