ARTIGO ORIGINAL DE TEMA LIVRE A COORDENAÇÃO POLÍTICA DAS RELAÇÕES INTERGOVERNAMENTAIS NO SISTEMA ÚNICO DE SAÚDE DO ACRE DE 1990 ATÉ 2008

Analyzes the political coordination of intergovernmental relations in the SUS Acre. The focus is on the State Health Department’s Acre driving the implementation of health policy. We adopted the strategy of the case study to examine this coordination. We conducted a desk research, observation and interviews with health policy. The study period begins in the 1990s until 2008. The implementation of health policy in Acre happened in scenarios of scarce financial resources and administrative failures causing severe crises in services, as in 1999, when tax revenue Acre was 81.83 million Reais and spending on health were of 97.37 million Reais. In 2008, tax revenue increased to 555.33 million Reais and health spending were 373.48 million Reais. Although it seems a significant increase in revenue in this period was the decentralization of services to municipalities and they began receiving funding support from The Union health policy depends on the resources of the Union’s relations with the state level of the SUS municipalities experienced conflict for decentralization of services and problems persist.
