Development of a Telecommunication Management Network for the TDX-10 Switching System

In this paper, we present an architecture and techniques to manage TDX-10 switching system based on ITU-T TMN management architecture. We extend OSIMIS network management platform to implement generic TMN applications. The hierarchical fault management services/functions are implemented, incorporating the logical layered architecture concept of the TMN management architecture. The various components of TDX-10 system are specified using a hybrid MIB modelling approach. The persistent MIB is realized using the object-oriented database management system. In order to monitor and control the various components of TDX-10 exchange, the external real resource access system has been built for an OSI!\1IS agent and TDX-10 system, which include the real resource access communication interface, the database access interface, the MIB loader and translator. In addition to these works, various tools including a schema generator and the ASN.1 editor are also developed.
