Effects of mechanical disturbance on local oscillators and carrier synchronization

The stability impairment of standard laser local oscillators due to mechanical disturbance is experimentally measured. The performance loss of the carrier synchronization in the coherent detection with PolMUX-QPSK and PolMUX-16QAM is investigated.
