An adaptive self-tuning linear controller, for the output power of a wind power plant

The paper deals with the principles and the application results of an adaptive self tuning controller for the output power of a wind energy converter connected to the constant frequency grid. The adaptive control, which is implemented in a microprocomputer 80186/8087, is based on the identification of the process transfer function and requires only the measurement of the output power of the induction generator as well as the output of the digital controller (pitch angle velocity).
