EMI filters components using planar magnetic technology

The paper deals with an application of the planar magnetic technology addressing EMI filters for power electronic converters. FEA investigation and experimental measures have been performed on inductor prototypes to explore the possible advantages when employed in EMI Filtering on high switching frequency power converter. Preliminary evaluations show better overall energy efficiency and some design manufacturing peculiarities. Finally, several feasible applications of magnetic components are depicted.
