Application of FBG sensors in under-water structure project

In recent years, FBG sensing technology has been rapidly developed and been used in many fields,such as bridges,building fields etc, but there is few applications in under-water structure project. In the paper,in order to discuss the feasibility of FBG sensing technology used in the field,the application in the BaiHeLiang project is introduced that FBG stress and temperature sensors have been used on a large scale in under-water structure project. The results show that FBG sensors have outstanding waterproof capability, high measurement precision, better long- term stability and more remote transmission signal, so FBG sensing technology is a reliant and effectual instrument for under-water structure project monitoring.
