Video spatial information service using sensor web

In this paper, we design a real-time service framework of video information based on Sensor Web and RIA (Rich Internet Application). The client of this framework is a GIS service platform based on RIA. By registering the terminal cameras to the sensor web, we can collect and transmit real-time video stream data and its corresponding semantic information to the GIS service platform. Visualization of video streaming data and semantic data are also discussed, which is a foundation for developing advanced applications. We take a 3D virtual community model as an example. It uses network cameras with embedded video semantic system module to collect real-time data for virtual community. The finally test result shows that this system can aggregate geographic information service, video streaming media service and semantic recognition service effectively, so as to achieve real-time video information service.
