Senior Citizens' Special Needs for Open Space in Urban Parks and their Behavior Characteristics

Senior citizens' activities in open space in parks are much affected by their behavior ability.This paper explores the physiological and psychological characteristics of senior citizens,and their special needs for open space, and the rule that senior citizens' behaviors in parks are gradually developing from spontaneous activities to social ones.Based on the survey of open space in Nanjing city,senior citizens' characteristics are found to be assembling,participating,site requiring,time requiring,etc.
