Financial performance of Iran's Automotive sector based on PROMETHEE II

Performance evaluation exercises of automotive enterprises provide stakeholders with the ability to benchmark their performance relative to others in the industry. The aim of this study is to propose PROMETHEE II to evaluate the performance of Iranian automotive enterprises. Seven financial indices of the eight largest Iranian automotive enterprises are examined through the PROMETHEE II method. A representation by the geometrical analysis for interactive aid (GAIA) plane shows the validity of the decision made with PROMETHEE II. The results explain the strengths and weaknesses of the Iranian automotive enterprises with regard to their financial behavior.
