Ensuring Interoperability among Subject Vocabularies and Knowledge Organization Schemes: a methodological analysis

Communication presentee dans le cadre de la Section Classification et Indexation de l'IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions) lors de la 68 eme conference annuelle de l'IFLA, tenue a Glasgow, Ecosse, du 18 au 24 aout 2002. L'environnement heterogene de la recherche documentaire sur le Web a conduit a mettre en avant l'identification du besoin d'interoperabilite entre les differents systemes. Dans la recherche par sujets, les utilisateurs rencontrent non seulement differents vocabulaires et classifications mais aussi differentes langues. Par consequent, il y a eu ces dernieres annees une floraison de projets cherchant a ameliorer l'interoperabilite parmi des vocabulaires et des classifications, certains visant la diversite des vocabulaires et d'autres se concentrant sur les differentes langues. Cet article tente d'analyser les methodes employees dans ces projets. Il commence par une breve analyse de la situation actuelle, puis examine plus particulierement les approches et les methodes employees dans de recents projets.
