Aggregation rules for sensible heat flux estimates over agricultural fields in Mexico

Three aggregation rules for estimating composite sensible heat flux are tested over fields of chickpeas and cotton in the Yaqui Valley irrigation district in Mexico. The results show that a simple average of the surface parameters for each field are adequate in this case. The implications of these results for the use of satellite data are discussed.
