The architecture and execution model of an active real-time database management system

This paper first approaches the fundamental theory of real-time database and active database, then presents the integration mechanism of the two databases, and finally introduces the architecture and execution model of ARTs-I, an active real-time DBMS prototype system we have developed on AT&TULX System V4.0.
