A Method for transmitting a packet data in the High Speed Downlink Packet Access system

PURPOSE: A method for transmitting packet data in an HSDPA(High Speed Downlink Packet Access) system is provided to enable a scheduler, located at a base station, to receive control information related to data transmission from an upper layer so as to ensure transmission quality suitable for the characteristics and requirements of each service and, based on this, to efficiently distribute radio resources in consideration of information related to data delay time. CONSTITUTION: MAC-hs SDUs and scheduling control information related to them are stored in a storage unit(201) and a control information management unit(209) respectively. A scheduler(207) receives buffer status information from the storage unit(201) together with scheduling control information related to the delay time of each data(S212). Besides the scheduler(207) receives channel status information from a physical layer(205)(S213). Based on the buffer status information and the channel status information, the scheduler(207) executes scheduling for data transmission control and determines the size of a data block and MAC-hs SDUs to transmit. Then the scheduler(207) adds a priority class identifier and a TSN(Transmission Sequence Number) to the transmission-determined data block and transfers it to a HARQ(Hybrid Automatic Repeat reQuest) block(203). The transferred data block is transmitted through the physical layer(205)(S214,S215). At this moment, if a transmission result that a specific data block has been transmitted successfully is received from the HARQ block(S216), the storage unit(201) deletes the associated data together with scheduling control information associated with the data.
