In this paper, we propose a case study of improvement for quality control level using FMEA. Here, we consider a six sigma project for reducing the defects rate of the vulcanization process in a vibration proof rubber manufacturing firm. The project follows a disciplined process of five macro phases; define, measure, analyze, improve and control. A process map is used to identify input factors of CTQ and two key process are selected by evaluating input factors; vulcanizing time and vulcanizing temperature. Response surface analysis is utilized for finding the optimal process conditions of the input factors.
