Abstract : The report deals with two experiments in which the effectiveness of the auditory and visual elements in instructional films were compared in order to study their relative contributions to learning. Subject groups were those who saw and heard, saw only, heard only, and neither saw nor heard. Multiple choice tests were given on the material covered, and the results are discussed.
