An integrated continuous-time chaotic oscillator capable of operating at very high frequencies is presented and its application to a high-speed random bit generator is described. Numerical and experimental results show that the generated binary streams pass standard statistical tests. Simulation using CADENCE tools also verifies that the circuit operates in the GHz range.
