A broadband self-biased monolithic frequency doubler for X-band application

A broadband monolithic single-ended active frequency doubler fed by a single positive DC power supply is presented. The effects of the self-bias approach on the doubler performances are investigated and a design method is proposed. Measured performances demonstrate the competitiveness of the proposed circuit with respect to more traditional doublers. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
