This paperpresents alowcostsystem formeasuring characteristic powersupply parameters withZigBee protocol connectivity. Itsmainfeature isits useoftheZigBee protocol asthe communication medium between thevarious modules. Thehardware system isbased ontheADE7758integrated circuit, anAtmega32 microcontroller andan Xbeemodule. Thesystemprovides continuous mainsmonitoring, sending datatotheControl Unit whennecessary. Adescription isgiven ofthemaincommunication- system parameters ofinterest toushere, forthepurposes ofthis application: powerconsumption andresponse time.
