Automated data processing of a radiotherapy case record.

Abstract An analysis of the threefold service rendered by a Radiotherapy Records Office in supplying statistical data is described. Since these three services have arisen independently there is much unnecessary duplication of clerical effort in extracting the overlapping data for them from the Case Record and re-recording it in the appropriate documents. A method of using a slightly modified Case Record as the source of all the data required for a computer to print-out facsimiles of the documents which are currently being completed by hand, is described.
