Fuzzy Analytic Network Process for Determining Weights of Sustainable Development Criteria

It is undeniably that sustainable development is imperative as it provides opportunity for future generations to meet their personal essentials. Sustainable development assessment is more important in the midst of big uncertain data and lack of information about the criteria. This paper aims to assess sustainable development criteria specifically for a community of wetlands region using fuzzy Analytical Network Process (ANP). The fuzzy ANP method is used to define global weights of the sustainability development criteria based on linguistic data collected from five experts. Fifteen sustainable development criteria are investigated, where six steps of fuzzy ANP are utilized to obtain total weights of criteria. The result suggests that the criteria ‘Safety (C21)’ is the highest contributor to the sustainable development. The total weight for all sustainable development criteria is 72.1% , which indicates the moderate level of sustainable development. The results would be a great significance for the practical implementation of economic and social development at the region.
