Tests and studies of protection optical fiber channel simulation

New problems emerges with the wide application of optical fiber current differential protection in the power system.Without the simulation tests on various bit-error conditions of optical fiber channel,the problems cannot be tested and verified including the channel time delay,operation behavior and performance on the bit-error condition in optical fiber current differential protection.This paper designs a simulation and test instrument based on the real application of the protection and introduces its functions,hardware design and application.
