A Data Acquisition and Display System for Improved Medical Pattern Recognition

This paper deals with automation in anesthesia and especially with the usefulness of facilities for better medical pattern recognition. The motives for the development of two generations af data acquisition and display systems will be given. Next, the engineering of the second generation system will be explained followed by the evaluation procedure which was deemed necessary after clinical trials with the first system.
