The authors supplement the category “Technology Center” with some theoretical propositions.The authors’ classification of technology centers is presented; purposes, conditions and structure of specialized technology centers as the economic foundation of the business environment are given. The optimization model of placement of specialized technology centers is provided and the procedure for calculating needs in technology for the formation of business infrastructure is developed.Keywords: business, infrastructure, technology center, technical support.
