On left dislocation

L'A. explore le phenomene de dislocation a gauche (DG) en allemand, en se basant sur de nouvelles donnees empiriques et theoriques, afin de montrer que, contrairement a ce qui a ete dit, ce phenomene revet un interet particulier en allemand et qu'il releve de la syntaxe et non de la pragmatique. A l'aide de nombreux exemples de constructions DG possibles et impossibles, il poursuit l'hypothese intuitive selon laquelle la DG et la dislocation du clitique a gauche (DCLG) ne sont pas des phenomenes totalement differents, mais plutot des realisations differentes d'une meme configuration structurale : la DG avec un pronom resomptif. Afin de classer la notion de pronom resomptif en des termes appropries, il propose une typologie tripartite des constructions avec DG : au lieu d'une distinction entre DCLG et DG, il prefere une distinction entre les constructions avec DG, celles avec DCLG et celles avec un topic en suspens. Il se base pour cela sur le propgramme minimaliste de Chomsky et sur la description structurale de Rizzi (1995)
