Dual-Skew Magnet in Cogging Torque Minimization of YASA Machine

This paper presents a detailed research of using dual-skew magnet topology in a Yokeless and segmented armature (YASA) machine for cogging torque minimization. The results show that compared with conventional skew magnet, dual-skew magnet has a better performance in minimization cogging torque while having low impact on back-EMF.
