Gas generator cycle liquid rocket engine powerpack consists of gas generator, turbopump, valves which supply the propellant to the combustor. Powerpack is a very useful subsystem of liquid rocket engine to examine the operability and the feasibility of the system design. We compared the startup behavior of the powerpack by the valve operation order with numerical simulation using a Flowmaster network. Because the flow rate to the combustor is relatively large to the gas generator"s one, the generator operation is affected by the combustor shutoff valve opening time.
