The absolute zenith intensity of [O I] 5577 was measured over College, Alaska, at 5-minute intervals during nights from January 16 to April 8, 1959. A total of 3968 individual readings was obtained. The median intensity is 2.40 kilorayleighs. Eighty per cent of the observations are included within the range from 0.74 to 11.5 kR. A general increase of 5577 intensity occurs with increasing geomagnetic activity.
