Data storage device and operating method thereof

PURPOSE: A data storing device and an operating method thereof are provided to improve the data processing speed of the data storing device by performing an interleaving operation for nonvolatile memory devices. CONSTITUTION: A controller (130) maps logical addresses provided from a host device (110) and the physical addresses of nonvolatile memory devices (140). The controller reflects the environment factors of the nonvolatile memory devices and the host device for remapping physical address at the logical address requested for an access from the host device. The controller uses the remapped physical address for performing the interleaving operation for the nonvolatile memory devices. The environmental factor comprises the operation state of the nonvolatile memory devices, the page size, and the position of a programmable page.
