Study on high-frequency quenching process for working profile of the roller gear cam

Through researching of the working state and environment of the roller gear cam,advantages and disadvantages of the roller gear cam heat treating methods available both home and abroad are analyzed.Then high frequency induction heating method is proposed for quenching the roller gear cam.Basing on the researching of the processing way,the processing principles of the roller gear cam and high-frequency quenching process,combining with the analysis of motion curve of the roller gear cam,the displacement equation as well as the principle of induction heating,a proposal is presented.That is to simulate the follower motion curve of the cam through controlling induction coil by applying Pro/E three-dimensional software to plot the position relationship between the roller gear cam and the position of the induction coil,follower motion curves of the cam as well,so as to achieve the quenching to the cam.
