Study on the Method of Address Automatically Matching in GIS Database

In the design and construction of GIS database,address matching automatically has been a theoretical and practical issue that was paid much attention for a long time.Until now,there is neither a very effective and rapid addresses automatically matching method,nor very mature software can be used directly.Aiming at the construction of GIS database on enterprise,this paper put forward a set of address matching method:implement the pretreatment,decomposition and classification on the more than 20,000 enterprises' addresses by using Visual Basic 6.0 programming,and then store the standardized addresses in the form of database,finally match the address data to the map by using spatial interpolation method.Furthermore,the authors made a case study on the Shanghai Pudong New District Enterprise GIS database building,using the above method and achieved satisfied results.
