Application of Response Surface Method in the Airfoil Aerodynamics Optimization Design

The response surface method was applied to the lift-drag ratio maximization optimization of an airfoil.At first,B-Spline method was adopted to parameterize the airfoil.Then,follow the uniform experimental design method,we got the distribution of the sample points,with the help of software FINE/TURBO,the lift-drag ratio of every sample points can be get,the response surface model can be built up on these results,an optimization algorithm was adopted on the RS model.At last,the optimization airfoil was obtained and compare with the reference blade,the lift-drag ratio of the optimization blade increased by 22%.
