The SHRP 2 Naturalistic Driving Study: Addressing Driver Performance and Behavior in Traffic Safety

The Second Strategic Highway Research Program is conducting the largest-ever naturalistic driving study at six sites. The high-technology program will support a comprehensive assessment of how driver behavior and performance interact with roadway, environmental, vehicular, and human factors and how these interactions affect collision risk. The information will support new and improved countermeasures to prevent traffic collisions and injuries.
