WBRBNC: A Wireless Broadcast Retransmission approach using binary network coding

It is significant to develop a method to realize efficient broadcast transmission in wireless broadcasting networks that suffer from the fading of wireless channels. Network coding provides a magnificent prospect in this scenario. In this paper, we propose a new scheme which employs binary network coding to reduce the number of transmission so as to improve the transmission efficiency and energy efficiency. Our proposed scheme combine different packets selected through a new algorithm from different receivers using binary network coding. With this scheme, it can be shown that the transmission efficiency and computational complexity are substantially improved.
