An integrated software architecture for real-time video and audio recording systems

This paper presents an integrated MPEG video and audio recording software system with a system-on-a-chip (SoC) platform. By fully utilizing the information obtained from video compression, the auto exposure and auto white balance can be accurately predicted and adjusted. The bit rate control as well as data buffer techniques adopted in the design overcome the difficulties of real-time streaming to storage cards.
