Current Status and Future Directions in Predicting the Hydroelastic Response of Very Large Floating Structures

In the exploration of ocean resources and utilization of ocean space, very large floating structures(VLFS) are of significant uses,However, prediction of their hydroelastic responses to waves remains a key problem in design. Many studies have been carried out in the prediction of the hydroelastic responses of VLFS.In this paper,a comprehensive review is conducted about the current research status.Based on this, future directions for the further improvement of the prediction methods are proposed.
