The smart city is a concept where the life of human being becomes more livable, healthy and less stressful. One of the important requirements of smart city is good quality water. The good quality water of well is a need of every human being as well as it is primary factor for cultivation and growth of fish in ponds. In this paper we have mainly focused on development of an electronic instrument with advanced technology for study of acqua culture monitoring. Some important water parameters which decide the quality factors for fish farming are discussed in this paper. The proposed electronic instrument measures parameters like temperature, pH, turbidity, Dissolved Oxygen(DO) etc. to check the suitability of water. This will help to study the growth of the acquatic culture and also to analyse the conduciveness of environment needed for certain types of fish. It is also possible to create a database of periodic changes occurring in the water quality. The instrument sends the data of different parameters wirelessly to the offshore central server remotely using Internet of Things concept. These parameters can be saved, monitored and plotted to get online or offline information with time stamp. The change in any value can be monitored continuously and the corrective action can be initiated.
